Hello. I’m Joost Hulsbosch. I paint — not only for joy, or love, but because something wordless wants out. I come from the Lowlands, where the land lies flat and the sky does all the talking. My work lives in acrylic, oil, graphite, and crayon — laid on paper, canvas, wood or metal. Some pieces resemble figures. Others drift toward abstraction. Most belong to that quiet, restless place in between.
